Breakfast Pizza

When I first saw this on Pinterest it looked really good. Instead of using it for breakfast, I wanted to use it for dinner. We are big breakfast for dinner folks. So I made the pizza along with the hash brown in the waffle iron recipes.  We really weren't disappointed. The pizza was good. The one thing I would caution is the sodium content. I used low sodium bacon but between the bacon, ham, and cheese it's a little high on the sodium count. I have two family members with blood pressure issues so this is not something I would make often.  I did make a substitution for the pre-baked pizza crust. It worked well .  The boys liked it. That's a winner in my book.

As far as the hash browns in the waffle iron, I'm not sure I'd do it again. Theoretically it a good idea. But it takes a lot longer to cook and I like to season the skillet when cooking the potatoes with butter and it wasn't as easy in the waffle iron.  But a different way to try anyway.



Again it's a winner and I will probably make it again.
